It is vital to shield your PC from trojans and viruses regardless of whether you’re a businessman or a regular internet user. This can be accomplished by using an effective antivirus software. However not all antivirus programs are reliable. In fact, some such as protegent are deemed to be scams.

Unistal Systems Pvt Ltd. is a company located in New Delhi, has created Protegent antivirus. The antivirus is currently available in three versions including Antivirus with Data Recovery software as well as Total Security software and Complete security software. The antivirus has a mascot named Proto. This was, up to 2020, a rip-off of Super Why in the PBS children’s television show Super Why. The commercial for the antivirus begins with a class of children using computers at school. The teacher checks the browsing history of one of the students and discovers that they’ve been viewing inappropriate content. Then, a cartoon-style version of Proto pops up and tells the students that they should use protegent, a computer program that helps users stay secure online.

Protegent claims it can defend computers from ransomware, malware, and other threats, such as Trojans, rootkits and Trojans. Additionally, it aids users to improve speed of download and upload without harming their privacy. The product includes a scanning engine that shields your computer from adware, spyware and Trojan viruses. It also has an option to back up and restore feature that can help restore any missing or deleted files. It also defrags your hard drive to improve performance.
