Women's Scalp Micropigmentation in Los Angeles
Women's SMP is quieter work. The goal is density at the part line, not a shaved head — lower contrast, finer dots, careful blending into longer hair.
Hair loss in women is usually diffuse rather than patchy, and it shows first along the part and at the front hairline. Wigs and extensions can help, but they're heavy, hot and constant work. SMP offers a lighter option: pigment placed between hairs so the scalp stops showing through the way it does.
The technique differs from men's work in almost every way that matters. Contrast is lower, dots are finer and spaced more loosely, and colour is chosen to sit beneath your hair colour rather than to imitate a shaved head. Where you part your hair is part of the design, because that's where the result will be seen.
Straight talk
SMP doesn't thicken the hair itself — it reduces the contrast between hair and scalp so the hair you have reads fuller. If you're in active treatment with a dermatologist, SMP can sit alongside it, and I'll coordinate timing around any medical plan.

How this work is done here
Different tissues and different goals need different techniques. This is the order of operations.

Consultation and colour match
We match pigment to your roots and mid-lengths so it reads as shadow rather than ink, and we plan around your usual part.

Soft, broken application
Dots are finer and less uniform than men's SMP, so the result adds depth without announcing itself.

Blending into long hair
Work is feathered at the edges so it disappears under your hair rather than stopping at a hard boundary.
